I do recommend Wordpress for its many applications and plugins, but found that Squarespace is a better option, even now, for someone new to blogging.
This course teaches you step by step how to create a blog with Squarespace.
Please do the research for yourself on which, if either, of these platforms will work best for you.
But, after using wordpress.org for 2 blogs and Wix for another, I’ve found that Squarespace is the most user-friendly, functional (even with coding experience!), and aesthetic, not to mention one of the best values.
